Specific Purpose Surveys

We can provide written opinions about hull or topsides condition, interior or engine condition or the condition of various on-board systems for marine damage litigation or other purposes.

Marine Incident Investigations

With our extensive experience in law enforcement, we can investigate marine property crimes and will assist local law enforcement with our findings if requested.

Black Cat Marine can inspect a vessel and recommend ways to reduce vandalism or theft, thus helping to reduce insurance claims or rates.

Yacht Deliveries

Our team can deliver a vessel anywhere on the east coast of the USA. Black Cat Marine Owner Captain Rick Marchand is a Master Marine 100-Ton Captain, licensed by the United States Coast Guard.

Boat handling and Seamanship Training

Just bought a boat and you'd like someone to "show you the ropes"? Captain Rick Marchand will come to your boat and will assist you and your crew with basic boat handling such as marina docking, tying up to other vessels or moorings, and anchoring. Among Captain Rick's past assignments was training of the assistant Salem Harbormasters on their 36 foot patrol boat. 

Training rates are quoted on an hourly basis.

Our detailed reports can be supplemented with the use of the latest digital imaging if requested. All reports are available on DVD for further review and printing purposes.
